Hunting for a restaurant in Madrid in November is an extreme sport: rigid group menus, no music after midnight, your team sharing the room with a louder company. A tech company with offices in Azca asked for its Christmas dinner for 120 people «with no buses». We locked in a fully privatised venue ten minutes’ walk from their offices, with a welcome cocktail, dinner at long tables and a DJ party until three. The organising committee dined sitting down — which was the secret goal all along.
For December, September is ideal and October the sensible limit: the good central Fridays sell out first. For the rest of the year, three or four weeks is usually plenty. Running late? Write to us anyway — Tuesdays and lunchtimes in December hide some very good dinners.
It depends on the plan. City centre if people come straight from the office and want an easy taxi home; a finca (Boadilla, Las Rozas, the sierra) if you’re a big group, want a long party with music and no neighbour limits, and a shuttle bus makes sense — which we coordinate too.
